Welcome

Welcome to the Inanda Seminary Staff Development Blog.

We hope that you will find it interesting and informative. I will add posts at regular intervals. We really hope that you will use this as an interactive tool so that we may all benefit from any new, old , interesting or unusual bit of teaching and learning advice.

This blog, we hope, will be used as a tool to share relevant information about teaching and learning. So if you have attended a workshop, gone to a conference or read anything interesting share it with us!

Project-based learning was the title of our last staff development. Remember project-based learning is the term used for any type of teaching and learning which is student-centered in other words where the students are driving the learning process and not the teacher. This can take one lesson or three months depending on the size of the task. We will download the PowerPoint presentation so that you can refer to it whenever you like.

I shared with you in the session the project -based learning that the grade 11 English FAL students have been busy with. They are just about to finish this off and the true test to see if any learning has taken place will be their CASS on Friday ( watch this space for the results) In the next post I will share with you some of the pitfalls I encountered.

Hope there will be lots of sharing.
